What Does it Mean to Be Authentic in Business?
Well it means upsetting some people. It means not everyone will like you. Perish the thought, wow, not everyone is going to like you!
Get used to it! If you are setting out to get everyone to buy what you have, you will not rise. Those that rise above the noise are those that are not afraid to say no to a customer that doesn’t fit them.
They are not afraid to say no to the ‘norm’ because it doesn’t fit them.
You Can Only be Authentic When You Know Who You Are.
Branding involves knowing who your customer is and serving them.
Please understand, it doesn’t matter how desperate things get, not everyone is your customer. Those people will give you more trouble than it's worth and worst of all they will not appreciate or value what you do anyway.
They are the ones that ask for discounts, freebies and complain. There is nothing wrong with them, they just don’t fit you and there is nothing wrong with that. They are meant to be served by someone else, just not you.
You will find that the clients that are with you are the loyal ones. They fit you, they understand you and you understand them. You are then free to serve them and they will appreciate everything you do.
It will become a win-win for you both because you will continuously seek ways to make them happy and they will reciprocate this by rewarding you.
Business is Relational Not Just Transactional.
When I'm on stage I drive this point home. I don’t want to influence lemmings but individuals.
Every person I meet has something special that I don’t have and it's beautiful. It is my life's mission to help bring this out and help you create something beautiful from it.
The World Needs Your Fresh Approach
The world awaits what is in you. You are a soap opera all by yourself in the nicest sense because we don’t know what you are going to come up with next.
No book has been written about what is inside of you and so no one can copy it. I don’t know about you but I’m so excited for you. I'm excited to know what God has deposited in you that we need, we don’t even know we need it until you tell us. That’s the power you possess.
Know Your Power, Understand Your Talent
If you don’t know the power you have or fail to see it, find someone who can help you. It's imperative that you tap in or you will always feel like something is missing.
You can have all the awards and all the money but something will feel empty and that's because you have not tapped in and unleashed what you have been given.
To rise you have to know you and stay true to you. The moment you try and fit in and do what they are doing you fall from position back into the sea of mediocrity.
Failure Is Just the Beginning
There’s nothing quite like failure. All the greats have failed in something and they are great. What made them great is that they failed and got back up.

Research conducted over the past 5 years has shown that on average people receive 5000 marketing messages a day!
Comprehend and meditate on that for a minute. 5000 messages!! Wow, how can you compete with that?
Well, you don’t need to. But what you need to do is be that message that your customers can't ignore.
Whatever you do, you want to attract, not just have people see you.
You want them to feel you and be drawn to you to a point that they actually decide they don’t want to be served by anyone else.
Believe in Thyself!
If you don’t believe in your product or service it's impolite of you to expect people to purchase it. You need to keep focusing on making your offering better, be consistent in the level of excellence you offer, be unique, tap into you is the only way to be unique. Be passionate, passion is your fuel that drives everything.
